Loihde Plc to receive additional purchase price from the divestment of Hibox
On 22 February 2021, Loihde Plc announced that it had signed an agreement regarding the divestment of its subsidiary Oy Hibox Systems Ab to the Swedish company Accedo. The transaction was executed on 1 March 2021.
Loihde has recorded EUR 5.9 million capital gains from the purchase price paid in connection with the execution of the transaction. The transaction agreement also included an additional purchase price, which is based on criteria relating to the result of Hibox in 2021 and the amount of which will be confirmed in spring 2022. Loihde’s share of the additional purchase price is at most EUR 1.0 million, and Loihde records EUR 0.7 million of it in its 2021 financial statements in accordance with the principle of prudence. The additional purchase price does not have an effect on Loihde’s financial guidance for 2021.
”The divestment of Hibox was a part of Loihde’s strategic focus on its security and digital development businesses. We are seeking growth and improved profitability in both business areas, and we are developing services where we are able to combine the different fields of expertise in the Group into comprehensive solutions”, says CEO Samu Konttinen.
